Where do Lucky Puppies of Idaho Come From?
Our Breeders all follow the Animal Welfare act and are inspected regularly to make sure all breeders meet the requirements set by the Agency.
We work with breeders who not only meet but also exceed the needs of puppies and dogs in their care.
Understanding USDA and what it means for the puppies
You may have heard the term USDA which is used in most puppy stores. It I s important to understand what this means and why some puppies may come from USDA breeders and others do not.

USDA is the same agency that regulates the food you and I feed our families. In order to be inspected by USDA a breeder must have at least 4 breeding female dogs.

Many of the breeders that we choose to work with are inspected by local Animal Welfare acts as they are for example only breeding two female dogs. We love working with breeders who are small and especially Local.
No matter which breeder we choose we require all puppy breeders to comply with local standards set by their respective authorities.
